PM Zaev Bilateral meeting within Trieste Summit

The European Union must aid the region more directly in order to accelerate its EU integration, Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev assessed in the TV show ‘Okruzenje’ which takes place at the EU-Western Balkans Summit held in Trieste within the Berlin Process. Within the frames of the Summit PM Zaev met Albanian counterpart Edi Rama, where they jointly assessed that the good-neighbourly relations are aimed at stable and safe region with Euro-Atlantic prospects. The Albanian PM announced investments in the Pustec region where Macedonian nationals reside. “Stronger and more democratic Macedonia will mean successful Albania,” Rama said following the meeting. He added there were no tensions at level of states, despite certain ‘scandalous rhetoric’ in Macedonia, noting that the well-being of Albanians in Macedonia contributed to the success of Albania. At the meeting with the Serbian homologue, Ana Brnabic it was concluded that there are conditions for bolstering the bilateral ties and that it would be a strong message to the EU for European integration of the WB countries. Both PMs accompanied by the countries’ FMs voiced consent for all open issues of the two friendly countries to be solved through constructive cooperation and dialogue.
